It's an SC.

Funky seats, funky A/C, funky fake Fuchs.

First issue is it’s not an SC. 76 doesn’t command SC money unless perfect. And it’s not perfect. It’s no numbers matching. And, and, and... price too high. I see nothing glaringly wrong, mostly just the wrong price.

It's a 76 that has been forward dated to look like an SC. Mods include motor (3.0), fender flares, flag mirrors on both sides and an SC emblem on the decklid. It looks to be pretty nice from just the pics. Probably quite fun. The seats are "sport"-ish. Not sure what they are, they look sorta period correct though. I wouldn't call 'em funky, but not exactly stock. They at least have some kind of square weave look to them. Looks like it has AC too. Like I said, looks pretty nice if you want a driver. Resell is tough (and the reason this one is probably not selling) because it's modified, even though it appears to be a stock SC.

I see... Porsche started to offer SC only in 1977. I should have checked this before posting. Thanks for the replies. CheeRS!

According to 911evolution.com, SC was built from 77 to 83. Was the 77 MY78?

I'm no expert, but that's the first I've heard of a 77 SC. Maybe it's ROW, or model year 78.
My first 911 was a 76 I bought in 1990 & I thought I new what models were what back then. Oh well.

I think its just plain wrong , they could have been physically built in 77 , but they were released as the 78SC. Most of that article is just general opinion and more a blog than a factory article.

cars were all fully galvanized from MY 1976, at the beginning of the year only the coupe roofs were not the Thyssen galvanized panels, but by the end of the year even the roofs were.

The floors were galvanized for at least '72, My '72 floor was solid when most of the sheetmetal above it was a perforated mess

the car is worth low 20s.
It was most likely a tired 1976S that was restored to be an update SC back in the day.

It would make a decent base for a 76 Carrera tribute driver.
