its a nice car , about the only thing that I might personalize is the headlight trim rings, there is no more chrome anywhere on the car, I might go same colour as the car or maybe even Black.

Hi Guys,
The headlite trims should be body colour. The chrome looks odd and so will black. It is a very nice original car, I would keep it that way.

Get this stuff from our host:
911-631-141-00-M260 Primered trim rings
911-631-033-00-M260 Inner screw
911-631-132-00-M260 Outer screw

Then, its off to find a painter to turn them into Chiffon, and you're 'bout perfect!

I plan to take some nice DSLR photos once I get the car cleaned to my standard. Here is one more pic:

Wow, a real beauty! I too am looking for my first 911, preferably a 78-83 SC like yours (high school crush). Was the hunt more fun than the acquisition??? I know, dumb question.

The hunt was fun but led to a certain amount of frustration because so many examples are in less than ideal condition; some of the owners are also a bit prickly. Finding and owning this car is a joy like no other. All I want to do is drive. Every time the garage door opens I am elated.

When they say buy the seller, that is really true. A well cared for example will last a lifetime.
