Default Revising ergonomics

I'm a newbie on the forum so please bear with me if this has been asked/answered before. I just purchased a european '85 911 targa. I love the car, bur the seeting position is not great for me . The shifter is foo far away as well as the steering wheel (Targa top On). Is there any way to m,oove the shifter back and/or up and moove the steering wheel back. I need about 2" on the shifter and 1" on the wheel. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Jim

Jim,

Move the seat forward. ;-)

But seriously, I have the same issue with my 87' Carrera. You may be able to get the steering wheel closer by changing to a dished one or installing a spacer. Moving the shifter back would probably involve some serious modifications.
