Default 1973 or 1974 Fuel Tank?

Hi was wondering if someone could help me with some help! Would anyone know what year this fuel tank is from and the parts number?

On my rebuild I've found all parts, just down to 2 parts I can't seem to find and curious has someone does a 1974 Carrera Euro Spec rebuild and replaced the fuel tank with a newer Porsche part tank as seems they have changed the design. Any thoughts or suggestions would be a huge help! Thank you in advance to help her back on her journey to the road. -

Rgds Marco

That's the drain. A CIS car uses a "swirl pot" and the drain is in the bottom of the tank on the horizontal surface. An MFI car would use one like you show. The RS "Hessental" plastic tank ultimately sits much lower by design where the feed and return lines are located but there is NO drain. I'd say you're good to go.

I don't know who screwed up the forum software again, but the above is a 1973.5 US fuel tank (which takes a full size spare - unlike the '74 US tanks).

Not sure re early 1973 tanks.
