I agree with GT

you may have been sold a 2.7 displacement engine. But larger displacement engines that start life as smaller is not uncommon.
2.2 to 2.7 seems like a large jump and Steve could tell us if it is feasible.
It certainly looks however that it is in upgraded 2.2 case.

I've done quite a number of 2.0-2.2 to 2.7 conversions over the years so this is not uncommon at all.

You can ID the case by its Type numbers and serial numbers. Nikasil & Alusil 90mm cylinders can be ID'ed by examining the numbers at the base of the cylinders.

the bosch distributor is a lot longer then the current distributor that i have, you sure if i grind down the shaft of the bosch to make it thinner, it will not be too long ?

im just about to order an ignitor for the toyota distributor and put it back in, whats your guys thought ?
