911T with updated 80's look
hi guys..
new to the forum and hopefully new to the Porsche family soon.
I have found myself a 1970 911T that is in need of some love.
Its been sitting in a garage for a couple of years.
Somewhere along its life it had the body converted to a 930 turbo look, rear fenders, spoiler, front fenders bumper and hood.
It is apparently a matching numbers T with the stock motor and transmission.
Now is it worth buying and spending a fortune to turn it back to factory condition or do they still have good value even with the work done to it?
This will be my first Porsche and don't mind having a project car.

Nothing can be determined by the info you provided unfortunately. Is it a neglected POS that he wants a hundred g for ? Definitely not worth it
Is it a well looked after car for 25g ? Maybe

in the best shape, it is worth the price of a good '70T MINUS the cost to repair the update damage (or perversion)
'70/71 have the best transmission with the wonderful road-racing shift pattern and a light touch (vs. the 915) - also have a high compression motor

it can be a dogs breakfast.
Fully restored 1970 911T is $100k on a good day.
Cost you that or more to get it to that level.
Numbers matching projects complete are 25k.
Incomplete 80's update 1970T is a 15k-20k car IMO.
I bought a 1969T for parts. It was converted to a 1974+.
Soild body so i am putting it back to stock.
The hood and front fenders were not useable.
Also had to change out the front trunk pan.
Pain in the ***. But body was rust free and rear fenders not cut.
