distributor wiring
Hello all
This is my first post on this forum and I was wondering if anyone had experience with wiring the distributor.
I am rewiring the original CDI unit back on my car and I am puzzled about the connections to the distributor ?
I refer to the diagrams below:
Can someone please tell me if the two connections ie Marked A and B on my diagram connect to each other and on the same terminal of the distributor ?
Where does D (of the CDI) and the earth (on connection B of my diagram) connect to ?
I assume that terminal C (of the CDI) plugs into the connector on the distributor am I correct ?
I don't understand how or where (A) and (B) in my diagram connect to the distributor .
PLEASE HELP if you can.
Thanks.

The black/violet lead is for the tach. This one, plus the black from the CDI unit connect in tandem (piggyback connector) to the spade terminal on the side of your distributor, which internally connects to the breaker points. This is the "A" connection. I haven't looked at one for a while, but the "B" connection looks like a ground. I don't remember a separate ground on the primary side of the distributor for these cars. So, I can't help you with the "B" connector show above.
Wire it carefully. I've heard that a slight fault to ground can do in a CDI box. Where's the wire harness that came with the car?
