Need Ideas and input on 89 targa rebuild
So the time has come to rebuild by 89 911 targa. It's got 222k miles with no previous rebuild and plan on making this more reliable to continue as a daily driver(in non inclement weather) but some subtle little outlaw features, also needs some minor body work and new paint, hood is off center likely due to accident years(pre me owning it). Questions I have
3.2 vs 3.4
Looking at putting a dual exhaust mid bumper-ala singer
I like the 964 decklid and would like to have some subtle deck lid, ie no whale tail, ducktail is upper limits of too big
I already have lowered it and have an elephant/von suspension, with sway bars, (had taken it to the track, but now have a spec boxster to beat up)
targa bar in silver?
any input good or bad is welcome and would you do anything different.

Very nice looking car. My '88 cab has gone through many generations of change over the last decade. I regret none of it. In reality my somewhat stock 3,2 engine in my lightweight car can smoke every 3,6 around that is anchored to a stock 964 tub. You may not need to go 3,4 to have a hotrod. Light = Speed Imagine your car 300 to 400 pounds lighter.

The hood alignment maybe adjustment from accommodating an old-fashioned front end bra. We used to have to adjust the latching piece to accommodate the bra and when it wasn't on we would get the fitment like you show. A few minutes with an Allen wrench will fix it.
