Dave , you say you want to put them upstream of the Muffler ?
Mine are installed after the muffler, going to the tail pipes ... no drilling , they fit nice and tight and can't come out the end because of the bend in the tail pipes, maybe it's just a Fabspeed fluke but it works for me !

Can I ask how you handled the installation? I had my 2-in-2-out dansk ceramic coated so I'm loathe to drill set screws into the tips to hold the inserts, unfortunately I don't have space in the SSIs to put them upstream of the muffler.
