Default New 71 911 Pics / wheel advice

This also serves as a "got a new toy" thread I guess. Purchased a 1971T this week, aside from Gulf Livery and other cosmetics, the car also has a hot 3.2, 915 trans, and upgraded suspension. It is an absolute riot to drive.

the only thing I'm not happy with is the wheel and tire setup. I'd definitely like a wider setup, not sure about to 16" or not.

looking for thoughts, opinions, experience and pics.

Congrats, enjoy in good health! Also, check out the vendor section of rennlist. Wheel Dynamics is popular one...

16" gives more tire choices

15" came on your car & 6's and 7's were good enough for the RS

wider tire & wheel means you lose that great turn in feel, but have more absolute grip

I have 15" 6's and 7's on my '73 with a hotrodded 3.2L motor

Congratz on the car. That one had been on the market for a while. FWIW I thought it looked like a pretty nice build and at a fair price. The current wheels look the part. If you go to 16's on that body they're going to be a tight fit.

Great looking car, enjoy!

Thanks for the input guys, for now I will stay with the 15 6 & 7 setup.

Pulled the motor last week and will be installing ITBs and supporting ECU, 46 PMO stacks, and custom headers/exhaust.
