Default Normal Oil Temp Gauge Reading 74 911 2.7 (non-S)

Hello,
I just took possession of my old 74 911 15 years after I sold it and have had some opportunity to drive it up to operating temperature. My memory is a little foggy but it seems the oil temp needle on my car always ran just past 12 o'clock (mine is the base car so I think I have the base gauge set). I took a pic and thought I'd ask if this is where it belongs after 30 mins in ambient temp around 70 deg. (which it was when I took this photo)

Unfortunately I have the other type of gauge, but my car runs around 190 most of the time. I think it depends a lot on speed and RPM. You mention 30 mins, at what speed / RPM? Do you have an oil cooler on the car?

I didn't rev it above 4K RPM and no the car doesn't have an oil cooler. I found references from a company that made overlays of various 911 oil temp gauges over the years but none of them look like mine.
