Default Deck lid market price

Looking to swap out the whale tail on my Carrera for a standard deck lid. What's a fair price to pay for one that's not rusted and dented up? Don't care about the paint.

Post up some pics of yours if it's not too much trouble. I have a super clean stock deck lid with no grill that came off my targa. I wouldn't mind acquiring a whale tale

Look to pay around $700. Check with Rick at Weekendrides. I got one there with all the goodies still on it for that price last a few months ago.

Just have a good bodyshop fill the holes in your lid & sell the tail. I have done that before and we came out way ahead.

Think I paid $4-500 a few years ago for a flat pre-73 decklid.

I paid $800 for a perfect fresh paint, guards red, with all of the goodies about two plus years ago. The fit and finish was an exact match for my 77 Targa. Had a difficult time selling the whale from the same car. Took about 6 months and I believe it sold for $375/400.

Good luck.

Ended up replacing the Targa with a Coupe but that’s another story
