Default Stuff you can put in a 997 Volume 1: Snowboards

Question: How long of a snowboard can you put in a 997.1 C4S Cabrio?

Answer: 164cm with bag (bindings attached)

It's a tight fit - I had to put it crossways with the base at the bottom of the passenger side and the head behind the driver's seat. It's so tight that I had to open the top, insert the board and guide it in place as I slowly closed the top.

If I had a 166cm board, it wouldn't have fit....

Woo 4WD FTW.

Targa wouldn't help. I had a passenger (short and skinny though).
Hilariously, it's actually less intrusive for the (short) passenger in my 997 than in my GTI

Seriously, roof rack FTW. Then take a picture in the snow. I just love seeing 997s get out in the snow. It's just about the most fun you can have in a C4S.

There is no roof rack available for either the cabriolet or hard top-cabriolets. (There used to be for the 996s, but that option was deleted some time ago).

For the record, you can also fit four wheels with tires into a GT3. It's not pretty, but it can be done:
