Default Track Your Dream web app

Wanted to share something Porsche is piloting for the 992 and from what I’m told will soon be offered for all models within the Porsche line soon. It is Porsche's new web app, “Track your Dream”. Once your order goes V200 status you receive a link via email from PNCA that provides access to your custom order and tracking of your order. It is pretty damn cool and was hoping it was available for the GT4 and Spyder as well. It was pretty accurate as well as it would update any changes to my spec once completed by the dealer. Additionally it would show any schedule updates. Back in November I placed an order for a 992 Carrera 4S and got a taste of how Porsche treats it’s 911 customers! They provided cool promo items such as a 911 sculpture, Limited 911 T-shirt and a subscription to 000 Magazine. Hopefully us GT4/Spyder buyers will also get some love soon as well. Anyways I managed to take some screen shots of the web app and the T-shirt and thought you all would appreciate a sneak peek of things to come (hopefully).

That's super cool and well done! V2 should have boat tracking, save me from digging up port manifests etc.

I find you guys in the US get more stuff. Nobdoy in Canada received a GT3 model from Porsche Canada, dealership may have provided upon purchase. But I recall many on RL getting the 1:43 model in the mail. That recent sculpture was also not distributed by Porsche Canada. I find they seem to do much less in the way of trinkets and swag from the Canadian mothership. Dealer gives you stuff upon delivery which I imagine they do in the US as well.

I ordered a 2020 992 Gentian Blue 4S Cab around Thanksgiving with Euro Delivery. Car was built around 12/20/19. I had to change back to US delivery around 1/2/20, and the car fell off the PVMS map, and my sales rep as well as the Euro delivery guys couldn't find it.

After 4-5 weeks of back and forth, and some very effective and patient (with me) effort by the Delivery/Programs Team at PCNA (they deserve a shout out) the Track Your Dream app finally registers where the car is!

On the Viking Queen, having been loaded at Emden on 2/18/20. Arrival Davisville, RI 3/2/20, likely arrival at my dealer in Pittsburgh 3/13/20.

Now I have to stop looking at the website 10X daily

Lessons learned:
(1) have your dealer sales rep try to get you access to the app. This way you don't have to bug them several times per week. It basically is a customer version of the PVMS printouts of tracking that the reps can send you.
(2) the app is kind of beta, so it may not work initially. Push everyone a bit to get it working. Eventually it will. After all, we are buying/ordering $75,000 to >$200,000 cars, and this is a nice extra touch.
(3) if you change from Euro delivery back to US delivery, be prepared for weirdness, and push a bit to find out where your car is. It may take a bit of time, but eventually they will find it.

Default Beautiful Build

While in Birmingham Alabama visiting the Porsche dealership recently I happened on a Chalk 911 4S Cab with the brown interior, prettiest 911 I've ever seen. Thanks for posting this info. In addition
to tracking, it would be awesome if there were live cams in the factory we could link into and actually watch our builds go down the assembly line.

Just to clarify... this is still a pilot program for select 992 USA buyers (Not all). Plan is to roll it out to all models soon, but no ETA yet. Knowing my luck it will launch after my Spyder delivers.

I can concur about the changing from ED to stateside confusion. Back in 2017 my GT3 was an ED car, but the week i was scheduled to pick it up was when they temporarily shut down ED. So I arrived and couldn’t pick up my car, instead I was given a loaner for 10 days. However, as time went by my actual car went missing, Porsche could not find it! They eventually did and air freighted it to me at no cost, but it took a few months to sort things out. Crazy
