Default RS Steering

Has anyone figured out how to code if possible the SRS steering ratio and behavior to a Spyder? The 991.1 guys have done something similar to get the GT3 “feel”

Pretty sure there are hardware changes that add up to the RS experience (ie. different bushings, etc).

thought the solid bushings and all the mechanical bits are a large part, but I wouldn’t say no to the idea of a quick line of code to change the steering ratio to be a bit quicker if it was an easy thing to do and see how I like it,

The steering ratio is not controlled by code. It’s mechanical (not steer by wire). There is an actual rack and pinion steering mechanism between the steering wheel and the tie rods that steer the front wheels. It’s called variable steering ratio, because the teeth of the gears are spaced differently (or via some other mechanical means) near the straight-ahead position than with more steering lock (steering is slower around center on some models than when you steer more sharply to give high speed stability, but agility in tight turns).

With 911 equipped with rear axle steering, you can affect some of the quickness of the steering by turning the rear wheels (they are steer by wire).

Otherwise, the code can only affect steering effort, not speed.
