Default Total US production-Spyder RS

No way to be certain, but based on how many SRS have been made so far and production likely ending by Oct 2025, how many total Spyder RS cars do you think will be made for the US market by the time production ends next fall?

Almost 800 VIN’s issued right now for the SRS produced for North America which is a rate of about 100+ per month. I estimate we end at around 2k SRS for North America.

Compared to a 997 GT3RS 4 liter or CGT: yes. Compared to a 992 GT3: no. Compared to a modern limited car (e.g., S/T): They make 1963 worldwide of the S/T. 2000 for NA market is probably about 4000 worldwide, so it is rare but not quite as rare as the S/T.

Some people have said they consider 2000 a "ton" of SRS's and it will affect their future value...

Historically North American units have come in clumps. Some months/quarters heavy … some light.

Will they produce the RSs to the end? Unsure about that. Cup motor production ends next year. GT3 is off the configurator.

In the end, 1200-2000 not that many and probably doesn’t change any needles anywhere on that spectrum.

Does the 2000 number include the 718.2 SRS?

Our dealership gets more GT4RS' than we do Spyder RS'
We just got out first 2 Spyder RS allocation, and we've had a good amount of 3RS allocations.
Spyders as a whole seem to be very rare at least with us.

They are not building as many midengine cars....I would be surprised if they get to 2000 units.
My dealer got 3 GT4RS and one SRS for the 2024 production year.... the production will end in 25 and Porsche doesn't seem to be having much luck or desire in cranking up midengine cars...

they will always build more then you think they will build. Trend has been true for several years now.

There is a CRAP load of GT3RS at my local dealer, I feel like they got a ton of them. Certainly, a lot of posts on social media of them being wrapped and coming in.

I know they got 5 or so SRS allocations, what is weird is that 4 aren't even spoken for... Some guys are buying elsewhere as the dealer is forcing inhouse PPF/Ceramic and sometimes a watch on the buyer.

agree. It seems like the SRS numbers are distinctly less than GT4RS and 3RS.

If Porsche sticks with the Oct 25 production end, I don’t think we will see much more than a thousand Spyder RS cars in the US, (not NA, but specifically in the US).

AFAIK, in the state of Colorado, there have been less than a dozen SRS allocations released including the recent 2025 allocations drop.
I received the one and only 2024 allocation awarded to my CO dealership.

The cars that dealers intimate are “rare” are often the most produced trim version. The GT3 is a prime example. Tons of them are always produced. However, demand still usually out strips supply, so that bolsters the perception of rarity.

I think in general there's less demand for the SRS vs GT4 RS (or any hardtop GT product), which will likely affect total production. I love my SRS, but I feel like I'm in the minority preferring the open-top experience based on the car people I know.

Yup, if there is demand they'll keep building for as long as they can.
