agree in this case I think the mistake actually works.

The issue with a racetex dash on a Spyder is the amount of dust and dirt that get onto the dash when driving. It can be not insignificant depending on the circumstances. While it may be great in a closed cabin car, not so much in an open topper.

How is the WP dash different from the seat centers or arm rest on a Spyder that are completely exposed? I dunno, all my racetex looked great at 17K miles trade-in on my Spyder

I mean it's not like it's **** carpeting or something.

This! I would have the dealer replace them with the correct ones (and ask to keep the extras in case you have a change of mind afterwards)

A friend took delivery of his non Weissach GT4RS and it came with the Weissach titanium tips. Another friend took delivery of a GT4RS last year with the painted hood stripe option but it showed up with the full carbon hood. Seems like someone at the factory is getting confused between Weissach or no Weissach. This is why the cars coming out of Zuff had superior build quality than the MY24/MY25 cars out of Osnabruck in my opinion.

it could be that PAG are having some supply chain issues, and rather than reschedule the production, they chose to use what they had JIT ...

remember some people got different headlights than they specified due to supply chain and what was available JIT...

Zuffenhausen is not perfect either. My Osnabruck build quality on my 2024 SRS is way better than my Zuffenhausen 2023 Spyder. Interior leather was way over stretched, stitching didn't line up between pieces. None of which I have on my SRS... quite happy with my car.

It isn't like Porsche hasn't been known to make mistakes like this. My 22 GT4 has damaged interior trim pieces that somehow were completely missed by quality control at port. Some plastic parts were so damaged, it was malformed and I saw it immediately when the car arrived.

Hopefully dealer can make it right.

To me it looks wrong. Should be continuous material type same as dash. I wouldn't keep it that way.

I've seen a few mistakes here and there and Porsche always seemed very quick to fix it at least at our dealer level that I've encountered.

This thread has put me on heightened alert when I pick up my SRS and checking everything before driving off

Yes, agreed. And IMO, there should have been an option for full leather seats. However, after numerous drives, I found that dust and grime got sucked onto the upper dash in my Spyder. More so than on the seats. Easy to wipe down due to it being leather. My point is that I think with the Spyder RS, the non-WP option is the better way to go.
