The ToD is not necessarily slow.
(and yes, they just repaved it and it is magnificent ) hit it early in the day, late in the day, and on weekdays your chances for a good run, expand exponentially. Even during the Rennsport runs earlier this month, we had some very good runs, and people who slowed us down were very good about pulling over so don’t let concerns over traffic dissuade you. Done it seven times so far and most have been great.

We have some nice roads close to home. Check out the Porsche Roads app, it has a decent selection of local routes and some nice features like 3D preview. Here’s a road I’m doing soon.

Haven't explored there. Sorry.
I agree. The closest that comes is some small sections of NC500 (albeit much wider), Furkha pass and Grossglockner high alpine road.
Highway 33 (with very minimal traffic) in SoCal is also fantastic.

130 from San Jose through Mt. Hamilton into Modesto is honestly pretty good for most of it. Its the part after the observatory into Modesto that actually is a bit precarious.
Mines rd. from Livermore isnt too bad and that connects to 130 as well. My only issue with Mines road is that its not very good for higher speed driving as theres a lot of blind corners and theres quite a few cliffs. Its a better drive if you just kinda wanna cruise with some turns.

Grossglockner beats Highway 9 of-course haha but it also costs 40 eurs per entrance so it is cheating Def one of fav roads in the world, I always collect the stickers they give you there as a souvenir... Have 6 at the moment.

Is it Android Auto compatible? Or do you have to follow the route on your phone?

My thoughts on Santa Cruz mountain roads:
Hwy 1 from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay: Still the best for high speed runs, just make sure you have a good long range radar detector.
Hwy 9: Boulder Creek to Skyline Summit & Skyline down to Saratoga: great road but stay away on weekends too many crazies. Watch out for Cyclists, especially on the Saratoga side.
Hwy 35 Skyline: From the Summit down towards Los Gatos it's not bad but did they do something to the pavement the other way? Last time I went towards Annies in the GT3 the pavement seemed really weird.
Pescadero rd down to Hwy 1: Great if you like winding roads.
Felton Empire Grade to Bonny Doon: Watch for boulders coming off the sides of the road. Bent an FI-R wheel there hitting a large rock.
Hwy 152 Watsonville to Gilroy: Not bad if you don't get stuck behind some one.

Damn you guys. Because of this thread I got hyped on the European Alps again and booked a flight to MUC for the 4th of July weekend. This forum makes me spend so much money.

i'll be honest i dont drive it much since COVID and the last time i went was back in 2019 and it was still pretty good. I havnt been back since all the fires and flooding. One of my favorite stretches though is actually after Mt. Hamilton. Theres this long stretch of maybe 4 miles that leads up to the fire station and its great to just cruise that stretch.

Three Wheelin'
Posted this in another thread but it seems to have died. These are a few of the dozens of roads in the Fresno/Clovis foothills where I now live. There are literally 100's of miles of these, usually with no other cars in sight. Driver heaven being that it's 10 minutes from my home.
