Default GT4 RS Carbon Intake Box on a GT4 - Video

Misha just reviewed a 981 GT4 with a GT4RS carbon intake. I know it's not a 718 but I thought it was a good video and I'm sure this could be done to a 718 as well...

I want that pretty bad. But I'm also wondering if I will hear the intake with my JCR Superlight as well.

It works on the 718 also.

Here's the development thread.

I just wish they converted to the top mount tb, true to the RS, rather than repurposing the stock intakes.

Great video. I'm #8 on their list for the intake. Will be going in my 718 GT4.

That would be cool, but the new plenum, etc would have probably turned this $11,000 intake into a $15k intake.

I will be interested to see if any dynos get published for the 4.0, seems like their results on the 3.8 gt4 were less than impressive

It appears the stock cone style filters may have more surface area than the square panel filters used in that intake.

I think that you are probably correct on this account.

I will be interested to see if any more rear window intakes come to market, as I don’t think that this or the BGB quite hit the mark

We are a gold leaf vendor, they’re getting into the double digits of installs.

There is even one installed on a Deman 718 GT4.

PM for forum pricing

Whoa - I was curious what the cost was... damn! 11k??
The intake sound from a standard GT4 is already fantastic in it's own right...

This does seem to be the last big modification that I need to make to complete the "conversion"... I'll wait though to hear what the "quiet" version sounds like. Not very interested in driving around with earplugs all the time.
