Default Severe idle vibration after transmission mount replacement

I had the “PADM disabled” message come up a couple weeks ago, indicating that the active drivetrain mounts had failed.

Dealer replaced the transmission mount on the left side. Picked up the car yesterday and today I noticed a pretty severe idle vibration through my entire seat that’s never been there before. It seems to go away as soon as I’m off idle but comes right back at the next stoplight.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior in their 718 after replacing the mounts?

I had this exact case with my Z4 when i changed the transmission mount bushings to urethane material.

Maybe its better to check if they are oem mounts? or otherwise installation error i assume

These are electronic active mounts and the dealer installed them, and the error light went away. So I don’t think they would put the wrong mount in.

Most likely install related, the NVH is definitely from the mounts, but if its an oem mount, it should not be any different than standard, if this was a warranty repair I would just take it back and show them the vibration and have them dig into it.

I have same PADM issue and appointment next week. Just wondering for how long your car was in the shop to fix drivetrain mounts. Thank you

Had a passenger side drivetrain replaced due to the PADM error. No vibrations after the swap.

The work took a couple hours at the dealership. It is a relatively quick procedure provided you have the parts on hand.
