Maybe you missed where I asked for a definition...
Oh well, no use opening that wound.
Just being cheeky.
I'll stick with the latest from AP..."RS" also means "fun car"

A regular production, street-legal open-top Porsche developed or enhanced by the GT (Motorsport) department having suspension components, engine, and bodywork specifically deriving from said department utilizing the RS moniker as a designation of the most extreme performance variant of a given model line offered by Porsche. Does not include Porsche cars featuring engines and bodies constituting non-GT variants having the letters RS in their model designations which were utilized for marketing purposes and not to designate a product of the Motorsport department.

I think PAG just says:
"RS The RS (RennSport, or ‘racing sport’) is a road-legal model that has been derived from its motor racing equivalent. The designation is, however, also used for particularly sporty models, such as the 911 RS America."
Personally, I think people are trying too hard to say what an RS should be. Many say the current Spyder RS is not...

We can change the term to whatever we want. So instead of “Open-top RS car,” I’ll call it Porsche X.
Porsche has never made a car like Porsche X before.

I got rid of my last GT4 because of the less than stellar manual box and picked up a GT3T PDK. Great gearbox but I didn’t care for how the GT3 felt in the mountains. Dealer called and offered a buildable GT4 RS. Traded the GT3T the next day. No regrets and the GT4 RS PDK is a much better car in the mountains. From my point of view. 😎

Wow, GT4 RS better than GT3 Touring with PDK. Is that a 992 GT3?
This is surprising to read. Can you please expand a bit as to why the GT4 RS is a better experience for you in the mountains than the mighty GT3 with pdk?
