718 GT4 - Can't really hear the downshifts?

I think I know OPs problem. He is coming from a turbo car and not an NA car. You really need to wring the GT4 by the neck and get the RPMs above 6,000 to get the sound you want or else its really nothing especially with valves closed. Also Akra is not the ideal exhaust for this car. The best is Kline or JCR or BC Fabs... with Headers. You get anyone of these full exhausts (cat back, OAP and Headers) and a valve controller or collar mod... you will NEVER complain about the sound on a GT4/Spyder ever again (or go back to the sound of a Turbo car!)...

Not really an 'opinion'. Kline outsells Akra by a wide margin for the GT4/Spyder AND the Akra is not X-pipe soooo.. The few people who have started with Akra usually end up removing it and going with another solution. You are correct that I am not privy to all the sales figures but it seems clear that Akra is not really in the exhaust mod conversation any longer not that these carshave been out for awhile...
