981 GTS --> 718 Spyder - downshifts

Are you referring to the Auto Blip feature that bumps up the RPM's on downshift? If so, that's not a feature of any exhaust or valve controller as far as I know. Instead it's a function of the engine software that (at least in my car) is controlled using the Auto Blip button.
Mine rev matches on downshifts…

i drove a 981 BGTS (always in sport+ with pse on) and a 718 Spyder (always with the exhaust on) side by side for two years, and can say that the autoblip seems to work the same. but you’re right, it sure doesn’t sound the same, or make you giggle the same. my gts was sapphire blue metallic with black wheels and the exhaust fit it perfectly…fun, loud, a real giggle-maker. my spyder is boring ol’ white and the muted exhaust is fine, but certainly “less.” i sold the gts to a 65 year old neighbor and he said the his family regularly accuses him of being 16 with the smiles generated from the roar, burbles and pops.

I just realized I posted this... but on a different thread, may as well close the loop on my own.
I just installed the Cargraphics valve controller. I'd say about 70% of my "issue' with downshifts is resolved. I can finally hear something more meaty on a downshift! (one that lands around 4k revs +-). I think? I might even hear a little burble... no pop pop pop since that was likely engineered by ECU.. but it's a great improvement to have the valves actually stay open when you say so!
Now to decide if I finish it up with the Soul non-resonated OAPs I have... or just let it be.

You don't need headers or sport cats. Some OAPs will do the job just fine (at least US versions). It'll pop plenty then (especially if you add a valve controller).
