Anyway, YMMV, but might be worth a shot before paying to mod the car. I have the smokers package and would not go back to using the cigarette lighter.

A couple companies make these really nice magnetic connectors for the CTEK, I'm seriously considering on my cars that I use the maintainers on figuring out a place to hide in the front splitter or elsewhere so I just can reach down and let it clip into place, that way if you forget and drive away it'll just disconnect. and it's easier than opening the hood and finding the connection. Apparently because Ferraris are not driven as much by their owners you can get this as a factory option now

1) The "Burm" - Yes, this debate is always raging on this board. Is it worth it? Does it matter in a Spyder, etc.... For me, I am extremely pleased with the option as I personally listen to a lot of music while driving.
2) Leather Backed 18-Way Seats - I love the way that the leather finishes the interior of the car (instead of silver plastic on the backs of the seats).
3) Spyder Illuminated Sill Guards - Puts a smile on my face every time I open the door and catches my eye
The Burm. I had in my old Spyder so I knew it was a must have
I had the leather backed 18ways in my old Spyder and I could out drive them so LWBS was the only other option. However, the leather backs do look sharp.
Some options that I appreciate more now after yhe Porsche rally and comparing my options:
Blue stitching: it just matches the shark blue and sets it apart.
Extended leather dash: it is in your line of sight. Blue stitching adds to it.
Leather interior trim. I had painted in my old Spyders and didn't really care for it. I dislike the CF trim and dont really care for the brushed. Leather was free and looks best in the small cabin.

Every single time I drive it or move the BGTS to use the car lift to work on another car, I'm plugging or unplugging the CTEK. And I'm spoiled because my 997 was built before Porsche started doing the silly smokers package option instead of just having the ashtray and outlet. A lot more than you'd think. And I've learned from experience that keeping the car connected to the CTEK greatly extends the battery life. I'm in Texas where it's brutally hot and having owned now 7 Porsches, the ones not kept on a battery maintainer had the battery die in less than 4 years. The ones kept on a battery maintainer last 5-6 years typically. And since it's a royal PITA crawling in and out of the frunk for me, I want my batteries to last as long as humanly possible.

FWIW, I removed the plastic cover from under the hood, and now just clamp directly to the battery (and a bolt on the top of the front tower brace). I resisted it for quite a while, but once I switched, I found it much easier than getting a wire into the cabin. Its 100% dead reliable, whereas I had issues getting the cigarette lighter to continue charging sometimes.
Anyway, YMMV, but might be worth a shot before paying to mod the car. I have the smokers package and would not go back to using the cigarette lighter.

18 ways. I didn't want them honestly and it was one of my 'who buys that crap in a GT car???' options; heavy, no memory on gt4s, base seats are absolutely fine. Porsche said I needed to select them to get an allocation, so I did.
I'm glad I have them and I think I'd select them again. Weight doesn't matter to me because I'm just doing HPDE's in the car not competing, the adjustable bolsters make them hold me in solid, and they're really comfortable.

The problem with this, is that there are too few of us that do the climate panel too. My Dealer tried to turn me off to it and said that it's very uncommon and in the past it hasn't looked good to them. My SA at the time didn't know squat. I think it's the best option on the car and have gotten a few compliments on the center console color. I would do it every single time if I had to do it again. I do wish I had gotten the white gauge plates, but I know they can be added after the fact.

Sun visors in race-tex, feels good each time I need to flip them down!
Also the fuel cap option that was already mentioned.

As strange as it may seem, I'm pleasantly surprised by the color of my Boxster 25 in CW metallic. Never thought I would buy a white car but the color combo, CW metallic with a red top and red seats is very tasty to my eyes. White-faced gauges and painted roll hoops complete the look. Some contrasting stitching would have made it even better.
Still not sure about the Neodyne accents but I am neutral towards them.
