Default GT4RS Reworking Control Line for Exhaust Flaps (Workshop Campaign)

My dealer informed me that there is a recall on my GT4RS. It has something to do with the exhaust flaps and adding an adhesive strip. Has anyone else heard about this? I have not been able to find anything online about it and found it a little odd that the dealer proactively contacted me about it. thanks

Recalls? Probably just Technical Bulletins…

Big difference.

I just got a Bulletin to replace a sticker on a Spyder.

Yes, there is a tech bulletin for the wire routing of the exhaust flaps. Was posted in the GT4RS thread a while back; WPF4

I got the same letter to replace the “vehicle engine data label” on my 2021 GT4. It’s a “notice” for an “important update”, and mentions “workshop campaign”.

just going based on the message from my dealer. He said recall, but you are probably correct.

I posted about this several months ago....it's a campaign that is supposed to be done on some cars when they visit the dealer. It's not a recall.
My car is affected and the valves started to stay open all the time...my guess is my line is damaged and a vacuum leaks exist not allowing the valves to close....strange that I don't get a CEL like on previous GT4 when you have vacuum leaks on those lines.

I had this recall completed a couple weeks ago. The recall work entails re-routing the vacuum line that actuates the exhaust flaps and the addition of a protective pad to the sub-frame. This is done to prevent abrasion of the vacuum line against the chassis that could over time lead to corrosion.

The airbox and some interior trim over the engine compartment needs to come out. Everything was done flawlessly by my Gold Meister tech in under 2 hr. No squeaks or rattles. Easy job.
