Maybe he doesn’t think it is a “real” transmission.

That was my take. Or it didn’t like him.

Oh man I was happy to see this thread as I recently just moved into a 981GT4 as my first manual (coming from a PDK GTS).

Mine is a keeper though...

"special wishes" and basically you can spec anything, custom leather, stitching, paint etc... cost astronomical

only cup cars have cup car engines - the GTx engines are only derived from such... presumably the dealer offered you a Spyder RS allocation then?

"Time to hunt for a proper GT car allocation" + "Any GT car with a cup car engine"

So by the above statements I assume that you do not consider the GT4 a "proper GT" car then.... Should likely stay away from anything that doesn't have the engine in the "wrong" place

I honestly don't see how anyone can decide in 120mi of driving that they do not like a car enough to turn around and flip it ... esp. after going to all the trouble of obtaining a (rare) allocation and going to all the trouble of specifying a build that included "special wishes" ... then waiting for that to be delivered...

I only asked because the spec doesn't seem like it has anything that's outside the standard options. I wasn't sure where the 10k was used for.

Sounds like a dealer parked the car with him for a few months in order to turn it as used. One of the more despicable dealer moves, IMO. But hey...they are MSRP dontchaknow.

He did mention in one of his earlier posts what the customizations were—but of course, it doesn't take a lot to rack up a substantial bill with CXX.

So just these two would make up the bulk of the bill.
- Blue stripe on leather steering wheel with contrast stitching
- Houndstooth/911 R fabric seat inserts

Although both of the above can be achieved in the aftermarket for a lower cost, it's still very, very pricey to get them through CXX.

I'm sure the door handles were the least expensive item, but altogether...yeah. Pay to play!

It was an amazing spec hence got sold in 4 days. Dealer buying at sticker (of course lost taxes and accessories money) is still a better deal than flipping on Bat

Exactly, unfortunately this is the only way i was told it would work. Else the ADM would have been much more than the money lost in taxes and accessories. This way they have two transactions in their books instead of one ADM transaction.

CXX options that are not available on the configurator to update the seat inserts to hounds tooth, all black leather steering wheel with speed blue ring and black door loops was almost 11k.
