@Spyder718 I wonder if your ROW numbers are not too high, since in complete EU are max 1000 allowed per year (small batch series restriction) and in Germany were 280 registered at 1st January 2023 (lot around Stuttgart, so probably "internal" cars) .

Every car on my list exists.
MY'22 for ROW is WP0ZZZ98ZNS277001 to WP0ZZZ98ZNS278101
MY'23 for ROW is WP0ZZZ988PS276001 to WP0ZZZ981PS277703
That's 2801. 8 VIN don't have a car so it's 2793 for ROW.

I'm wondering how many allocations each dealer has on average in US, since here in Italy they get 1-2 cars per year and someone none at all. This precious little numbers are strictly reserved to top customers with 3-4 cars in their garage, 1-2 GT models, CGT, 918 etc.

In the US it depends largely on the volume of the dealership. I have several Porsche dealers within about 80 miles of me. 2 are high volume "Porsche Premier" dealers that will get 10-20 GT allocations of each GT car a year. Then there are several small volume dealers locally that may only get 1-3 allocations of each GT car a year. Not sure how it works in other regions - But US Porsche dealers can also get rewarded with bonus/extra GT car allocations based on meeting certain sales and service metrics set by Porsche USA.

just depends on the size of the dealer. 1-2 is probably average but some will get alot based upon their size and location

Is the situation still such that you need to be a past multi-new Porsche buyer to have any chance of a build slot?

At MSRP? Yes. If you're willing to pay a 50k+ ADM then you don't need a relationship.

Ouch! I assumed that is the case but the optimist in me was hoping/wishing for a different answer.

Just wait. with the numbers of production being talked about, the RS production starting and the economy... the prices on the 4RS is going to come down... If it were me and I had to pay ANY ADM I would get the SRS as THAT car will hold its value better than the 4RS...

Same thing people said earlier this year when the "economy was going down" and markups were 75k+ on a 4RS. Now where are they? 50-75k. Not much of a change. Spyder RS allocations are starting at 75-100k right now for you to get a guaranteed first allocation.

SE FLA is not a very good convertible car part of the country in my opinion so I have never paid much attention to Boxsters so please forgive my ignorance: why will the SRS hold its value better than a 4RS?

I checked GT4 vs Spyder prices and they seem pretty aligned with each other. What makes you think the Spyder RS would hold its value better than the GT4RS?
