I see the 4rs configurator shows PTS available again. Has anyone been informed that 718 PTS is now available again?

 

It was reported opening 4Th QTR.

That it’s been added back to the configurators is promising.

There is likely a date and window associated with the opening.

 

Note that although PTS is available on the Configurator, it won't be offered like the 2023MY. They are reverting back to allocation specific PTS cars. Apparently MY23 PTS was over 4X prior and the factory couldn't handle the demand... thus why it was removed. Going forward it will be a lot harder to get PTS.

 

Interesting, how does that work? Friend said his 4RS allocation was submitted as PTS but it didn't get accepted or errored out so he's holding out hope.

How so? this press release was 2021... which they did expand it. PTS use to be super rare. 987 Spyder had only 4 PTS in NA with only one approved for Europe. 981 Spyder only 22 approved for NA. 982 generation is well beyond previous generations. So the article is accurate. PTS prior was like winning the lottery. Last few years it has been so saturated and raising prices didn't affect the demand.

 

It opened and then sold out since everyone who was waiting for a build submitted their order. Try again for MY25.

PAG made claims that they were going to improve the PTS process, expand it and remove a lot of the mystery and luck from it ... and it appears that none of this has occurred that certainly meets my definition of ironic...

 

For anyone popping into this thread title, I want to add that PTS is showing on the US configurator for ONLY the GT4RS and SRS.

Yes, I have a hyper desire for doing a CGTS in PTS. For the GTS, S and base models--there is still NO PTS according to the configurator and my dealer.

They have though... Prior the colors were not disclosed. Heck the availability of colors was listed as confidential.
Now not only are they listed on the Configurator you can get a render. The process was a mystery. Volume of PTS has also increased from prior 2021. It's just now going to be more controlled... evenly distributed. Instead of an open option like the 23MY, where as
long if you hit the time deadlines you basically could get PTS. Now there will be a predetermined PTS slots... Eliminating the huge factory backlog of PTS orders.

Back in 2020 my SM forwarded me the list, it was marked confidential, and asked that I don’t distribute.

That and Rennbow and you could get an idea of a color, or fly to a PEC and look at the color wall.

Having on the config is a great step. With that being said it’s still a mystery on windows and limitations.

Ultimately I gave up on my early build 21, but will resurrect for my RS.

 

I laugh every time I see PTS. It's not PTS it's an expanded list of available colors that cost $$$$$$$. True PTS would be sending Porsche a color swatch you wanted and them painting it in that color.

^This is my biggest gripe with it. It's just another pre-selected palette of colours to chose from at an absurd price lol. When it used to be actual PTS and not for an exorbitant amount of $, it was cool. Now it's a straight up cash grab because they can, and people are willing to pay for it.
