Default 2023 Spyder/GT4 Gear Ratio Changes

My dealership told me recently that the 2023 model year Spyders and GT4s have much shorter gear ratios because of complaints they received for the long 2nd gear. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I’m looking to buy a Spyder and now I’m wondering if should only look for 2023 Spyders.

No it's not true.

Plenty of threads in this sub-forum on aftermarket ratio changes. Some even on this page.

For more, use the advance search function in this forum.

The GT4RS PDK does use a unique gear pack that is significantly shorter than the regular 718 GT Manual/PDK.

Except for a few option changes, like Apple CarPlay becoming standard or colors, all MY20 - 23 Spyders are the same.

I assume you know that production is stopping and all allocations have been distributed.

All of the Spyders are the same so you do not have to narrow it down to a specific year(s) - get the one you like before someone else does!
