Default GT4 DME report - walk away?

Found a 2020 GT4 with 10k miles on it that dealer will not CPO due to track time. Below is the DME rev report - how bad is this and should I just walk away?

Z211_Overspeed range 1: Number of ignitions
4016

Z211_Overspeed range 1: operating hours 11304 min

Z212_Overspeed range 2: Number of ignitions 1716

Z212_Overspeed range 2: operating hours 11274 min

A200_Mileage from instrument cluster 15483 km

Z213_Overspeed range 3: Number of ignitions 318

Z213_Overspeed range 3: operating hours 11274 min

Thanks,
Pete

Looks like the last overrevs happened not too long ago - about 190hrs of running time ago for the range 3 (worst). Probably too soon to decide if any permanent damage was done...

(106) revolutions in range 3. Need 200hrs+ since last overrevs in range 4 and above to be eligible for CPO apparently. Range 3 shouldn't deny CPO. Would need to know current total operating hours to figure out how long ago the event occurred.

Reportedly only 3 ranges on the 982.

OP, is the car priced accordingly because if this poor DME report? It does make a difference to many…

They won’t CPO; ok that makes sense. Any warranty left? If yes, has it been blocked?

Personally I’d walk, those bad hits will follow it for life and just too many clean ones available.

personally I would not buy any car that is denied a CPO - they're simply too expensive

There are claims the overrevs don't happen bangging off rev limiter, only on aggressive downshifts.

Overrevs start at what RPM with our cars? On the 981s redline is 7600, but rev1's only happen in the 7800-8000 range.

I wonder if range one's are 8200-8400 for our cars?

FWIW, I hit the limiter a few times in my 981 (stayed in it too long merging onto highway). Had it checked, and all the events happened prior to me taking ownership.

That's really good to know. I hit my limiter before and shift at redline. No risky downshifts though. Would be nice to find out I have zero rev1's. Perhaps I should get a report on it next time it's in for service.

It would be really interesting to know what rev ranges these correspond to. No one worries about PDK DME reports and you can certainly hit the rev limiter in manual mode with a PDK… this makes me think the zones must be a bit above that rev limiter…

Can you tell us more about this car? Whats the price? If you want a 718 GT4 and you like this car I would say get it and try for an aftermarket warranty?

Depends on the total operating hours.
Maybe had the ECU flashed to raise the redline?

Unless it was significantly discounted and speced exactly as you want it, I'd probably pass.

That's my understanding as well. The computer will not allow you to "over rev" to the point of damage or danger just by mashing the accelerator pedal. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

My MT has 39 range 1's and I have hit the limiter a few times. Car has never been money-shifted. My indy specialist said range 1,2 are expected on most and not of any concern. Also a note that raising the limiter from 7800 to 8000 in the GTS hasn't triggered additional range 1's, as I frequently hit 7900.

I am very interested to get a DME report on my GT4. I hit the rev limiter at the track all the time and have done exactly one small money shift that sent the revs to 8500 RPM. Owned since new so history is known.

A definitive list of what range means what in our cars still seems to be desperately lacking.
