MY2024 Price Increase
Title makes it sound like a model year thing... where the article sounds more like a EV new model thing. Maybe both? Curious what it means for the 4RS and SRS.

I'd be surprised if the RS's get as large an increase (I think it references a +15% hike on EV models in the pipeline)...
But - I'd guess the MY24 RS's will get some increase... pricing continues to go up on everything.

I didn't read the whole thing but it seemed to mostly point at cost increases due to the EV variant. Which honestly makes sense. Battery technology isn't quite there yet and is still very inefficient and so the tech to make it perform close to what you would expect out of an ICE car is going to be costly.

718s done with EV introduction
Article confirms 718 EVs will fully replace ICE versions from day one. No overlap. Unlike the Macan.
Lutz Meschke also said the 718 electric replacements due around 2025 will also be up to 15 percent more expensive. The zero-emission Boxster and Cayman will replace the ICE models from day one.

Relooking:
"Price hikes across the board are coming soon as part of a plan to further boost profits. During a call with analysts, the head of finance Lutz Meschke said "significant price increases" are planned to come into effect in mid-2023 for the 2024 model year."

The 2022 -> 2023 pricing change/configurator change over happened at the end of April last year so we're not going to be waiting long to see what they are. They went up 3% or so on the 718 last year IIRC. I was price protected at 2022 prices for my 2023 GTS which ended up being roughly a $3k difference in MSRP.

Previous MY price increases were minimal.

If I recall correctly, my $131.9K spec for a 2022 Spyder would have been $136.9K in 2023. What's that? Somewhere around 3.8%?

My early MY21 Spyder base MSRP was $97,300 -- current pricing is $103,400. Looking at the current option pricing I see the same prices for PDK, Leather deviated, seats, etc., as what I paid couple years back.

Base MSRP jumped quite a bit MY22 to MY23.
I’d expect nothing less for MY24 given pressures to increase margins, and the unprecedented base price increases last year made no negative impact to sales volumes.

On the US configurator the GTS Boxster has had another base price increase recently. That is 2 price jumps in one calendar year. As an aside the Cayman GTS base price has gone up almost $6000 since its introduction as a 2021 model.

Thanks to all of the people willing to pay way over MSRP, Porsche is raising prices yet again. It makes great business sense, but it still sucks.

It's obvious prices are going up across the board across every industry as inflation in Europe is still above 8% and above 6% in the US. Porsche isn't immune to that. I get that it sucks for consumers, but this is the reality for the next several years, I think.
