Default 718 Satellite Antenna Wart Removal...

Prepping my Spyder for the installation of the rear deck graphics and needed to pull the wart off. Well, as with most things, it ain't as simple as removing the T25 from below. That wart is held on by some robust Porsche two sided felt tape that holds on for dear life as you try and pry the wart off. And of course, Porsche doesn't sell the gasket separately from the $200 painted wart so it's time to improvise.

Wow, didn’t know that🤔. Thanks for the info. My XPEL shop pulled mine off and put it back on so I didn’t have any lines, glad they did it and not me 🤣

Might want to make sure they reapplied some form of tape/sealant. No way the wart came off without destroying what was there.

I have wondered what it looks like under one of those. It would be nice if there was an aftermarket solution for a 'wart delete' to cover the hole with a very small cap that is much less obvious.

When I was still hopeful for a 718 GTS, I was struggling with the mandatory things it would have that I knew I didn't want. The wart, headlight washers, SC, etc. were among them. While I was keeping an eye out for 981 Caymans, I was hoping to find one that was early enough and without nav so the top would be smooth. It still seems unbelievable to get one so close to the spec I wanted, in the color and condition I wanted. And without the wart, headlight washers or SC. Here it is after the paint correction was finished.

I wish they offered the satellite radio delete on all models and not just the RS.
