Default just got my GT4 allocation..

I've been on the list for almost 16 months but finally got the call. I've had Shark Blue on my mind from day one but after going in today to lock in my order I was almost talked into the new offering of Arctic Grey. I need to make a final decision by tomorrow.
since making the initial order, prices have gone up a few thousand but I luckily avoided luxury tax. also, they don't offer the carbon buckets in the gt4 anymore. 😠

I guess no one has seen an Arctic Grey on a GT4 yet? I love the purple sheen but I think it might not show up enough and will look flat grey most of the time.
Looking forward to being a contributing member of the Rennlist forums.

This thread should have most of what you're looking for- might have to scroll down until people actually started taking delivery of their cars; we've only had them for a few months!

https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...or-thread.html

I'd definitely call Arctic Grey blue rather than purple. Not really a hint of purple to my eye. I will tell you that the blue shows up almost all the time, and it rarely looks flat grey at least not for long. It's an amazing color, and far less "loud" than Shark Blue. Far less common as well.

If not having a loud and/or common color is appealing to you, you'll probably like Arctic Grey.

I had the exact same dilemma, flipped back and forth between both colours, but landed on shark blue.

The JCR pics in the Arctic Grey thread looked great, but those pics looked heavily processed, and most pics I've seen don't look like that. I couldn't pick it based on only being able to see the small sample at the dealership, but had I been able to see it on a Porsche car in person, then that would have helped.

In saying that, I think it will look great, and I'm hoping I don't ever cross an Arctic Grey GT4 in person, because I'm worried that I could like it more than shark blue, then I'll have regrets 😅

can't go wrong with either one...two of the best colors rn

I'm partial to the AG since it looks similar to the best color ever, GBM

congrats on the allocation

Who was talking you into Grey? The SA?

Have you seen Shark blue IRL?

If so and you like it, go with your gut. Get the blue. It is your car, totally personal decision, get what you like.

Yea go with your gut, b/c in the end you have to live w/ the car you've waited so long for. Don't get something you might regret or second guess every time you walk out to the garage.

My Arctic Grey GT4 is about to hit the docs in few days. Should be delivered to me in few weeks. After opening bunch of red sports cars, decided to do something a bit different. I’ll post bunch of pics as soon as I take delivery.

Congrats on the allocation! My family has worked with Daniel at PCNT as well. He’s a straight shooter.

What’s your freeze/build date?

Don't get talked into a color someone you'll never see again likes. For what it's worth I much rather have dumpster blue then arctic grey.

I'd say that having seen Arctic Grey in person, its a darker grey with a hint or tint on blue hue ... in the same sense that "chalk" is a light grey with a hint of brown...

I'd personally go shark blue...

Personally for me, shark blue is overdone. But this is also not helped by the fact that my A91 Supra was the Refraction Blue (slightly darker) and my girlfriends GR86 is the Neptune Blue (slightly lighter) so for me i've seen enough of that type of blue. I got to see a GT4RS in person about 2 weeks ago and it was in the Arctic Grey and i would choose it over Shark Blue. That being said it would still not be my first color choice. Its a really good shade of grey and in sunlight it shows some more blue. But at the end of the day its still grey and for me thats just a bit boring. But i'm also the guy that went Python Green so....lol

I'm close to pulling the trigger and having trouble deciding between Gentian Blue and Python Green. I was all in for Gentian when I was thinking I'd be in a GTS, but GT car maybe calls for a louder color. Gentian with yellow PCCBs or Python... maybe with black calipers? Going silver wheels either way.
