I know it's potentially gauche to ask in some corners about costs, but what did all of this protection run you in total? I say this as someone who if money were no object would do all of this sort of thing to a new car, but in the past has done a much better job keeping up on the mechanical aspects than the painted bits.
I do have to say that while I have seen a couple 4RS cars in more understated colors where it seemed a bit of a waste, this thing looks absolutely gorgeous.
I won't give exact costs, but living in the SF Bay Area everything is a bit pricey. It probably looks more costly due to the fact that I broke everything up in different posts. It was just a quick detail to remove harsh swirls where needed, PPF and coating which I think is pretty common these days. The follow up wash was to coat the rims and just clean the car from a weekend drive. The PPF should last me many years and as for the detailing, I probably won't get another for a few years either. So if I spread the cost over many years it's doesn't seem so bad....at least that how I make myself feel better, haha.
I´m curious how the PPF looks around the badges (which are below)?
Here is the Crest. I can't find any pics of the lettering on the door. I'll try and take a pic tomorrow. There is an outline you can see, don't think there is anything you can do about that with PPF over the decals. .
It was good. Didn't really push that much. Another track day this week so we'll see how it does, but last time felt good. Car is not loud at all to me.
