As I posted in the other thread it’s the current PDLS headlamp modified to have LED lights and not the PDLS+ headlamp. It will look the same as PDLS lamps. It’s a cheap upgrade to get the LED light output though.

No worries more reminding that there’s the other thread that had a lot of chatter about it today. Bummer it’s not the PDLS+ lamp like a lot of you wanted but after seeing the black lamps on my GTS in person the black PDLS housings look great! Very different look than the silver PDLS housings I had on my last 718

I actually agree. The black housing is great. Plus the design of the housing actually ties into the car design and shape better.
My build locks in 3 days and I tried getting my dealer to add this option but the system was not accepting this option. It wont be available till Nov7th apparently.

May be because that person's build locks in 3 weeks. Mine locks in 3 days and this option is not technically available until Nov 7th. I will ask my dealer to try to add it again today.

Was also told the same. Looks like it’s a firmed up base light for this guy. My order locked last week so it was a stretch I would have been able to do it anyway.
I wonder if this version will be a plug in play swap unlike the PDLS+ swap that isn’t.

Based on the fact it doesn’t have the high beam assistant and windshield mounted camera as with PDLS+, it may well be a much simpler retrofit.
I'd personally option the black Xenon's over the new LED option... they look better IMO. If they have a black housing option with the LED's then it's a no brainer...
The configurator also doesn't allow for the painted washer nozzles with the LED option... Glitch?
