what a difference.. I have the SOUL OAPs and VES installed. I did the OAPs first.. then a couple months later the VES. in general I was very happy with the set up... but there was now droning and a boominess in the cabin with the top up that wasn't there before. today I installed the Sound Symposer Plugs and I am happy to report the drone/boominess is barely discernible. fully loving my SOUL set up now. and the install was surprisingly easy. "thanks" to Dave at SOUL for his help and patience!

You know the sound symposer valving is controlled by the Sport Exhaust button right? There is no need to plug it. Just keep the sport button off.
Also, what you are calling drone is simply the piped in intake sounds, has nothing to do with the exhaust sound frequencies.
I think the sound symposer and its operation is the most mis-understood thing on the GTS/GT4

I am not talking about the exhaust valves. I am talking about the sound symposer valves.
While the Sport exhaust button controls the exhaust valves at idle and under 1500 RPM, that is ALL it does on the exhaust side, the biggest thing that button does is control the sound symposer valving, which is the piped in intake sounds, which it TOALLY separate from the exhaust.

@AtoB
What @TRZ06 is saying is that the PSE button controls two things
1. the exhaust valves
2. the sound symposer
You have the valves held open so the only thing turning 'on' the PSE button does is turn on the sound symposer
So, you did not need to plug the sound symposer with your valves open. All you need to do is NOT turn on the PSE button

I would miss the piped in intake / engine sounds on downshifts.

I agree in stock form. Turned off, the car sounds too flat and quiet inside without the intake sounds.
I am getting the Kline Inconel and the Cargraphic 2-way valve controller at the end of the month and I think (but not positive yet) that the intake sounds will interfere with the Kline exhaust sounds.
I will test it all out after I get it installed and play around with it on and off, but I think it will compete too much and keep me from hearing the Kline sounds.

@UncleDude
With these exhaust systems it is all give and take
MOST are trying to find that 'Goldilocks' mix of tone, decibels and drone . . . and the sweet spot is different for every driver
With specific regard to @AtoB , however, he has valves held open and does not like the drone from the sound symposer. That is perfectly fine, and he decided to plug his sound symposer. As @TRZ06 and I were pointing out, once you have the valves held open, there is no need to plug the sound symposer. Simply do not activate PSE button.

I’ve read elsewhere that you can disable the symposer by pulling a fuse or using PIWIS to change settings. 🤷♂️

Go try it. go full throttle to redline, once with the button pressed and then with it off. No need to pull fuses, plug holes, remove the pluming, etc.
