Only at COTA: stuck in a train led by a Senna
I'd like to start a GoFundMe page for the Senna owner to get him some tire warmers so he doesn't lead a train for a lap and half while his slicks warm up. It was hilarious watching him disappear down the straight and then catching back up.
Finally after 10 minutes of working through traffic, the open track after was fun! Shout out to paffinity in his awesome shark blue GT4 who was wheelin it all day, very tidy and fast driving!

Huge pet peeve of mine = time to rant. If I ran flags I'd black flag that Senna, possibly blue flag him first but most likely just black flag him instantly. Why? because he's selfish and he's the problem. Cars bunching up is probably the most risky thing on the track or at least in the top 3. Once cars bunch up it doesn't just take a pass on the lead car to spread things out again, but often can take several laps while people figure out if the car behind them is faster or not once the conga line leader is out of hte equation. It often ruins half a session or an entire session. There is also a lot of frustrated adrenaline filled people all jostling to get ahead
So his selfish potato driving is costing 5-10 people 5-10 minutes of track time when he could just slow way down and let them by, or pull into the pits and reset.
Some people will say 'but everyone can just pull into the pits and come out in a different spot when that happens or it's not a race'. WHy? why should 10 people do that when one A-hole holding everyone up can do it? and if it's not a race then why is the a-hole not letting people by?

Saw that car in the parking lot on Sunday, commented to the wife regarding what it was. But watching that train pisses me off. 100% what @Zhao said. Don't care if he's driving a Senna, he's wasting >5 peoples time so he can have clean air. Or he's 100% noob. My guess is @electron mike isn't exactly driving in the green group... Senna needs to get black flagged for that, then get to drive another parade lap to warm his tires back up.

i remember a fca day at pocono in early 2000s where 2 guys led trains. one in a 333sp and other was in an enzo. was super annoying but pretty cool to be next to those cars. really though, arent they embarrassed to be so slow in such fast cars? i sure would be but maybe if you can afford track million dollar cars, you dont get easily embarrassed.

If he needs a lot of time to warm up his slicks he should start at the back of the group in staging. What kind of event was this? Was he able to register himself in a faster group just because of his car? Maybe he belongs in a slower group.

Big money car drivers rarely give the pass, in my experience. They’ll pull off first, if you’re lucky.
The best result, though, is getting to watch them overdrive and off, trying to get your poor man’s 911 out of their mirrors.

Was good to finally meet ya @electron mike ! Yea those Mclarens were holding up everyone all day. I have a new nickname for that group, not rafa but rather safa (slow AF association) 😅. Was hoping to improve next day but had a bit of traffic still on Sunday. My quest for sub 2:20 will have to be delayed further.

Reminds me of being on track in a mixed test day, me and a few guys in SRF3s, and someone out there in a LaFerrari FXX K. His lap times were slower than ours. His mate in an LMP2 car wasn’t much quicker.
All the gear and no idea.
