Nope, not for me. With AC turned off, I've tried Set 1, Set 2, Set Key, lock car with fob, unlock car with fob.......no matter what, as soon as I start the car the AC is on.

Same here. Can get all my other settings to save, but not the AC. I've learned to live with it.

The way you describe memory is how it works for my C4GTS. After the re-code on the BGTS it all works the same except for the A/C state. That never gets saved for any of the two positions or either key.
The hand wave to open the frunk does not work on the 22’s. The feature was dropped for that model year.

Ok so minor clarification. I've owned two 981s and my 718 - and had lots of other 981/718 and 991 service loaners for extended periods. None of them ever have the AC fully "OFF" upon restart.

They either remember the auto/fan/temp setting... OR they restart with the prior temp setting and minimal fan speed.

Even my Spyder (without memory) does this - either remembers the last climate setting, or if the last setting was "off" it comes on to the last set temp + 1 bar of fan speed.

This is normal behavior.

I only have one other Porsche to compare to and that is my 2016 Cayenne and in that the AC does not turn on when car starts.

Correct. My Cayenne remembers "OFF" as did my Macan.

But none of my "sporty" Porsches remembered fully "OFF". I'm not even sure if my 987 did it.

Thanks, everyone. Those of you that talked about the "off" state being different is the key. I was trying to save that off state being a Boxster and nice and warm here. And that's the state that doesn't save. So the car does behave as it should and preserves whatever on settings the AC is set to when the memory, key is saved.

No hand wave and I think this is as you all describe being a feature removed in '22.

Thanks again!
