Inner Door-Sill Guards in Leather Question
I like the look of the inner door-sill guards in leather, but can anyone comment as how they hold up over time?
I realize it depends on the folks using the car (how carful folks are), but are the leather sills prone to scuffing or damage more than the normal plastic inner door sills?

I've never seen the leather sill guards. Anyone have a pic?

This is a pic from another member. You can see that the inner leather door sills include the silver stiching.

I assume it'll be like any other high traffic leather part. I have them specced in my GT4 that's being built right now but I also plan on occasionally hitting it with leather cleaner and whatnot to keep it moisturized

2 years and almost 15,000 miles and they still look like new.
Of course, I’m careful…but not more so if if was plastic. Plenty of shoes have been dragged across them.
Wipe them down with damp cloth during car baths.

Suncoast has them if you missed ordering them.
EdGuard has them too - his workmanship is excellent

I still have a few days before my Spyder build locks, so this is my very last consideration.

get them. The extra material really makes the interior feel a lot more premium. The plastic doors kinda detract from the fact that this is a 100k+ car. I was originally going to save the money but ended up making this one change as this is where you will be spending most of your time.

Yeah, I looked at the leather for both the steering wheel and top dash, but with a Spyder, I think the silver stitching reflections would be an issue for me driving mostly with the top down. I have seen comments from folks saying the reflection does and does not bother them. Like most of these considerations, there is a personal perspective at hand.
