According to Suncoast…it will fit! Got to pay to play though.

Some have adapted the Akra tips to stock, Soul, and other exhausts by using aluminum tape or very thin aluminum flashing. The Akra tips are larger than stock circumference and the collars that come with them don't tighten then anywhere near enough without the use of some kind of gap filler like the aluminum mentioned above. I realize there are a lot of OCDers out there who would never consider such a thing but it is possible. I love the look of the Akra tips but not a big fan of the slip-on Akra exhaust, apart from the price it seems to sound a lot like stock, JMHO. I may try them using one of the above mentioned techniques, will post pics if I do.

In my final decision process I was feeling a little guilty hoping that I could fit the Akra tips on the OEM exhaust, primarily because the Akra tips have their logo on them indicating one also has the slip on, or full Akra system. Somewhat similar to, but not quite as bad as having a fake Rolex. 😬

It would not bother me at all since they are just tips, and I do not think using them without any of their other exhaust components is bad at all. Anyway, I think a couple of tack welds would hold them in place as well.

@Larry Cable , @Kgoheen , @Regul8415 and anyone else with the Akrapovic slip on, do you have a valve controller installed?

My current setup on my Cayman GTS 4.0 is Soul valve controller with valves always open, Akrapovic slip on, and everything else stock but I'm finding it a tad bit too loud for my tastes. Good tone though. Wondering if I should try the stock valve operation with the Akrapovic slip on.

nope - not me - I even removed my Soul OAP's and went to the CarGraphic "high flow" OAPs because I found the combination of slipon + OAPs too loud.

No valve controller on mine but I do have the Dundon street headers paired with it.

Thanks all! Looks like I'm gonna have to go back to stock valve operation. 😁

Regul8415 that diffuser looks great!

I like that the defuser has round cut outs... the OEM boxed ones look off to me with the oval tips.

I too had the Kline inconel OAPs, muffler, and tips installed prior to delivery so I have never driven mine with a stock exhaust.

Like the sound of the Kline exhaust, but the Akrapovic tips are THE best, so it is pushing me back towards an Akrapovic. Had Akrapovic on my last 2 cars and was very pleased. Their diffuser is more refined than the OEM Spyder/GT4 version too.
