718 GT4 PDK Road trip mileage....PSA for anyone interested
First off I did not buy the car for the mileage but I always like to check mileage on all my vehicles. Mine has 6800 miles on the clock.
Did a nice 424 mile round trip on my 2021 GT4 with PDK in the countryside with speeds mostly at 55 to 60 mph and some slower speeds down to 35 mph in towns and some faster speeds to 70 mph for brief stretches on the highway. Very little stop and go traffic and intentionally no hot rodding around....which was the hardest part.
Drove it like a normal car and not in PDK sport and with the Auto on/off button pressed so the car would not shut itself off at a stop.
On the first 212 mile leg I got 31 mpg by hand calculation...topped the car off with fuel at the beginning of the trip out and then when I arrived at my destination to do the calculation.
Then I hand checked it again after arriving back home and got 30 mpg. The car computer was surprisingly accurate...it calculated fuel burn at 30.9 mpg.
Then I turned the fun buttons back on and had a brief romp on the throttle on the way home.
Just thought I would pass it along for anyone interested. I am fairly impressed with the mileage of the GT4 4.0L when driven like a normal car.

Great self control, I couldn't possibly duplicate that feat.

This is actually pretty great to hear. I do plan on doing some longer road trips with my car once I get it, so it's nice knowing my gas costs won't be that bad during those trips.

I haven't taken mine on any long trips but the track I get like 8mpg, commuting (mix of highway and city) I get about 26mpg, and spirited driving in the city which includes stop and go, I pretty consistently get around 18mpg. I'm pretty happy with those numbers.
anyone ever figure out what the 3 cylinder thing translates to in fuel savings?

I have 2100 miles on my CGTS, and on back roads at similar speeds get around 30 on longer drives, always in sport mode. Driven spiritedly it's more like 25-27. I can't stand the cylinder deactivation unless I'm at 75 on the interstate. Surprisingly I get about 3 MPG better in the Cayman vs my 987 Spyder. Technology.

Then when you are on the track it's more like 6-7 mpg, but oh so worth it.

2021 Spyder PDK that has 7k on the odometer and routinely gets 29-30mpg on the open highway at 70-75mph.
