My Porsche Dealer is hiding something….
I dropped of my boxster for a post break in oil change yesterday, and wandered the lot while I was waiting for my wife to pick me up. I found this tucked behind the dealership.
I’ve been wanting to buy a trackable car, since I’m too tall to track the Boxster. I need my second sports car to be a bit practical. The type r is high on my list of semi-practical starter track cars that fit tall people in helmets (I know I’ll have to do cooling mods).
So, I took this as a sign, but I’m waiting for the 2023 in the hopes the cooling will be improved (and the GR Corolla). I’m hoping the declining stock market and rising interest rates will cool demand and increase inventory a bit also.

Three Wheelin'
I'm looking HARD at the MKV Supra. Sort of torn on the availability of a manual but I kind of think the values of the current crop of autos will diminish if Toyota builds enough of them...
Performance-wise they are competitive with just about anything for novice-amateur use cases.

The Type R does everything but look good and drive the correct wheels. Its like the designers were done for the day and left and a bunch of teen boys broke into the studio and starting sticking random stuff on. The Honda execs came in the morning and said "This is the finished design? Looks a bit busy but ok, lets ship it!"

Agree 100%. I just look at that rear end and wonder how in the hell the designers thought they were done drawing at that point. Couldn't fit in a few more sharp angles that don't complement each other? Butt ugly if you ask me. FWD only makes it worse.

It depends whether you like tracking front wheel drive cars. I tracked my Mazda3 MPS for 10 years and loved every minute of it but a lot of guys wont be caught dead in a FWD car at the track.
Those Hondas absolutely fly, one of the best FWD platforms out there. But holy moly they are ugly when you start looking at the design details.

They are fast but fwd is so meh. I spent equal amounts of time in fwd, awd and rwd for time attacking before i started road racing and have no interest in a fwd or awd car ever again, unless it's a ek9 aka first gen civic type R. It just doesn't get me in the feels like rwd does.
