5 lug to center lock conversion?
Hi, I did a search and found some posts mentioning on how to do it for other cars but not the GT4. Has this been done and does anyone know the cost? Reason? Wheel choice to clear the insanely large PCCB as wheel selections for the GT4 aren't plentiful.
thanks!

There are no threads on it because there’s never been a GT4 with centerlocks before the RS.
Suspect procedure/changes will be similar as posted in 991/997 GT sub forums.
Someone will do it; but probably be a while before it’s reported.

Ah, I was assuming the parts were somewhat similar to other Porsches. Thanks!

EDIT: Is it just that there are more, cooler 20" wheels that are CL and not as many in 5-lug format?

I would think there would be more choices for 5 lug at least there was in 2019 My 911 GTS had centerlock and there were not many options then

OP - Can you give more context? I'm not sure why anyone would want to go from 5-lug to CL. CL seems like so much more of a pain in the butt!

pretty much any aftermarket company can make you a forged wheel CL or 5-lug to fit - HRE, Forgeline etc ... MUCH simpler and cheaper than trying to pioneer a conversion... which as I recall was only possible on the 997 GT3 because of some parts compatibility between variants/generations ... and that required a LOT of R&D to resolve

With the GT4RS now out, it should just be a pretty trivial parts swap to put GT4RS centerlock wheel hubs on a regular GT4 or 718 Spyder. Just need to wait for your local dealership parts dept to get the GT4RS parts catalog/diagrams and stock the actual parts (which I'm pretty certain will be astronomically expensive.)
