Not so fast. A few of us just received updates on the TYD app with additional delays, even though we made the CP8.0 cutoff. Not sure it's due to supply shortages or some temporary production shutdown.

The plot thickens once again. One of my friends works in Zuffenhausen. Let me text him and ask if he is still working

edit: okay I texted him.

Me: "Are you still working or is the plant shut down"

Him: "it is mostly shut down but still working"

Me: "is there any 718 production going on at all? How long do you think until it’s normal?"

Him: "I guess a week or at most two" (correction - he meant until the plant shuts down. read below)

him: "It will be shut down in a week or by far in two weeks for several weeks. I guess five"

We are talking about the champions league matches right now and life. I’ll come back to the 718 production in a bit and edit that in shortly.

 

You were right... I failed... miserably. However somewhat of a silver lining (as far as my productivity goes) TYD updated to a CP8.0 date of April 1st. I have no reason to check it until then. When I log in on April fools hopefully the joke isn't on me!

My date moved by two weeks when the Ukraine news hit and is stying this way, so that checks out

Not sure how much credibility to give this, tbh.

 

I wonder where the cutoff ended up being as far as what gets built and what doesn't. My Expected CP8 date was after the cutoff (by 4 days) and my car has now been built and is ready for transport as of yesterday.

I feel like they're going to pump out a few more cars before the deadline than they thought. Hoping that's the case for the frequent flyers around here who are right on the cusp.

Keep in mind he just works there. This is just what he’s been told and what to plan for. I’ve known him for 12 years. He is not a liar, I know that much and he has no reason to lie about this. We will see what happens. I hope that the plans change and they do not end up being shut down for that long, or at all.

 

Rasputin says he's talking to someone who actually works at the plant. Who would be a more credible source on this than someone who works there and is familiar with day to day operations of the production line?

I mean unless Rasputin is just completely making up imaginary conversations with imaginary friends to impress random strangers on the internet...

Obviously we have more conversation but some of it is diluted with personal stuff that I don’t want to screen shot like a picture of my kid for example
