Default GTS 4.0 has been produced! How long until I get it?

I just got confirmation that my GTS 4.0 has been produced - does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to be delivered? I'm in Canada (and couldn't be more excited!)

You say "Canada"...but that's a big country. Quebec is going to be a much different answer than BC, I'd suspect.

Depends on when it gets put on the ship. Once its on the boat its about 4-6 weeks. Arrival at Halifax and being loaded onto a train is a lottery. I'm in Victoria BC, mine arrived at the same time as another destined for Vancouver. The Vancouver car was delivered 2 weeks ahead of mine.

its a great feeling isnt it? Like being a 5 year old a week before Christmas!!! enjoy it!

ask your SA for a screenshot of the internal ordering system, it will show dates for (dis)embarkation etc ... should give you a good indication of when it will arrive

Mine was sitting in the Port of Houston 30 days after it exited production. Once released it was another 5 to San Antonio.

The variables post production are securing a ride on a Halifax ship and then internal Canada transport. Your SA will know the ship name once loaded and go from there.

Congrats!

such a great feeling, although if it comes while there is still snow/ice on the roads, its going to be a frustrating few weeks with it in the garage lol

As a side note, do Canadian Porsche Dealers keep the clear side reflectors in stock?

Depends on your dealer. Mine not only did not stock them, but they refused to order them or put them on a car. They were concerned that they may not be legal in Ontario. I think that they are, as long as the bulb is yellow.

I'll check with my SA, hopefully Alberta is more reasonable. Also if anyone is interested, this is my spec: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNXQH564

Just curious, my start production date was Jan 21st and the estimated completion date was February 4th, but it's still in production! When was your start date and completion date? The wait is killing me!!

What don't you understand?

He picked what he wanted and obviously weighed every dollar since it is a light build. This is the beauty of ordering a Porsche, you're not forced into the stupid trim level / packaging like most brands.

I didn't want the PDLS+ (i prefer the look of the PDLS), I also didn't want the multifunction steering wheel (I think the ones without buttons look more classic), I also didn't want the lane change assist (I had a similar thing in my Infiniti q60 and I didn't notice the indicator after a while, and the Cayman has good visibility), this isn't going to be my daily driver so I didn't need the comfort access and prefer actually putting a key in the ignition
