Default Lowering the Gt4

Was wondering if any of you guys have lowered your Gt4 without any modifications, how's the ride and what's the look of the car, was thinking of lowering it to make the gap a bit tighter with the fender. I'm still waiting for delivery of my car lol thanks guys

I had mine lowered 10 mm front and back and it looked good, but bottomed out on everything. It was miserable, so I put it back to stock.

I also lowered mine 10 mm and love the look. It's already a low car stock and I was already careful, Now I just need to be a bit more careful. The splitter scrapes sometimes but I consider it an expendable part like tires.

I had the car lowered to get a bit more camber for the track without replacing other suspension components. However I ran into clearance issues with the outside edge of the rear tire rubbing on fender lip. This was around -2.7R, I think? It was worse in the Dunlop tires, which are apparently shaped a little differently from the Cup 2s.

Probably not an issue with a street alignment.

Ah someone has done it. RS vented hood on a GT4. @Shawn Hong I knew the hood fit but does were you able to fit the ducts as well?

Have not gotten the vents to be functional yet. But it is possible it seems. Checked the parts from an RS and they fit. The only part is the plastic in the wheel well. My shop looked at it and looks like we just have to drill a hole so we can get the duct to travel down. Seems like a pretty straightforward job.

Good to hear. It's been a plan to always do this since seeing JCR do the non vented CF hood a few years ago. I was fairly certain that the front plastics and ducting would fit. It nice to have it confirmed. Also now that the RS sports the hood I'm sure they'll have a part number for the wheel well plastics.

If you ever sell the car let me know if you part out the hood.

Keep an eye on your rear brake ducts...may be a few hundred to replace. Mine were missing, and I'm at stock ride height.

5mm spacers on the front would make it look even better. My car is not lowered but I added the spacers and it looks much better.

Can't imagine street driving my GT4 lowered more than stock. I get it if you're a skilled pro on the track. I know for a fact lowering my GT4 for track use would not make me faster it's not the rate limiting step there
