My opinions are, black caliper tends to hide the whole wheel section that has a look of a void. With a blue exterior color, red typically clashes with blue, but a certain shade of yellow goes with the blue color palette. I say powder coat them as I did with mine! I did the work myself which wasnt hard, just had a shop do these. Cheers
i was thinking of doing that but I heard from my wrap shop guys that it’s a lot of work that involves brake fluid swaps and etc. was that the case for you?
also planning to track the car at least 3x a year and don’t want to recoat them consistently. How they held up for you?
It took a few hours to take off all the calipers as I marked every bolt with a paint pen and checked with a torque wrench to record tightening numbers. I also ended up buying the brake fluid pump tool to replace the fluid with Motul Racing Brake fluid. I say overall it was a rewarding process as I wanted to get the calipers powder coated and not painted. If you need help let me know. Cheers
GB and red calipers is a combo that works in my opinion. I'm glad Porsche gave us the option of painting the calipers black as I don't like the red calipers with some other color combos but it works fine with GB. It's the Superman combo. I will mention that with your gt silver interior, the red calipers won't tie into anything else which I'm sure you already know. Some people see this as fine especially since the red is on the outside but others try and tie the red into the interior as well by speccing red stitching and mix and matching with red seat belts, red gauges, red chrono, and red steering wheel marker.
Personally, I would tie the interior in with the red caliper so I would pick red stitching, red seat belts, and red steering wheel marker. I don't know if I would select red gauges and red chrono as it might be too much. I would have to see it before I spec'd it. The main reason for me picking the red interior bits is because it gives it a little more visual pop on the inside. The interior is basically black and although you're speccing the silver stitching, the silver doesn't jump out at you and can disappear in all of the black. I've seen the red stitching interior and it looks nice and it definitely stands out.
Since the GB exterior is a more muted blue and not a loud and bright blue, I think it's ok to get the red interior to "match" the red calipers and help gives the interior a little more visual interest..
My theory is that you want to showcase the beautiful wheels, and red calipers take away attention from the wheels. As for matching the interior with the red calipers, from outside with the doors closed, the interior doesn’t exist.
If this is your dream car, get the real yellow calipers from the factory. Bonus the wheels will stay silver longer.
Really love the yellow, but not sure I want to spend 8k+ on brakes when the steel brakes are already amazing. Plus I'm planning to track the car, so I'm not gonna be looking forward to dropping a new Ford Fiesta on rotors and pads 😆

There is a current thread that discusses PCCBs, which may be worth a read before you decide.
