Sounds like the Mission R has straight cut gears; adds to the drama for sure. I wonder if they'd ever release a road car with straight cut gears. Probably too noisy for a regular model, but it could make the electric equivalent of a GT4/GT4 RS more engaging while also allowing a lighter gearbox to accommodate the same torque level.

Mission R doesn’t have any gearbox - must be some bevel gears in the differentials or something

It’s direct drive from the electric motor straight into the diff? Usually EVs (even single speed ones) have gearing to reduce the input speed to the diff.

I honestly don’t know- just know it’s single speed with one motor per axle (some awd EV’s use a motor in each corner)

My dogs did not like the noise. Sounded like the kettle is ready
The driver might have had some fun, but boring as hell to watch.

Won’t sound like that in a road car. The minute Porsche makes a road going Mission R with the freight train power and torque delivery of my Taycan and the feel of my GT4, they can have the keys to the GT4.
