Default GT4 RS rear exhaust

Do any of you know what the exhaust set up is on the rs? I know you can get titanium tips but is the actual silencer the same as Gt4? I would think it may require different oap but that they would use the same silencer. Also, does anyone know when dealers will actually received their allocations and you can get a delivery date?

It's different...the rear muffler looks like the one on the GT4 but now the "Y" is on the muffler not the OAP......the OAP also look different and the second O2 is just before the GPFs.
Aftermarket vendors will need to design new stuff for this car

Correct.

Likely that pipe diameters are revised also.

That rear muffler still has the open valve path directly dumped on each side......just like the GT4. Hope they revised some of the internal design so it sounds better.

I finally find a solution I like for the 4.0l after a year of playing and will have to start over. At least I get to drive it for a few months.

Going back to a couple of videos....as AP mentions, the intake noise dominates but on the background I can hear a bit of not-so-good 718 4.0L sound......I got a feeling this car will need some upgrades to the exhaust.

Where did you get this image? Is it the actual render of the engine?

Thanks. LINK

Looks (and sounds) like the same box on the GT4. I wonder if those valves are electric now (and more sophisticated than open or closed), like the 911.

Does the JCR or some other aftermarket exhaust get rid of the not-so-good 718 4.0L sound?
In fact, I am expecting a better exhaust note in GT4RS than GT3 due to more room for exhaust design.

I will be very difficult to replicate 100% the GT3 sound due to the longer path for the exhaust and the need for a larger muffler with separated exhaust.
Never the less, the vendors that developed mufflers that mix both banks of the exhaust are the ones that sound the best.
The simple solution adopted by PAG (and various vendors) of just dumping the exhaust independently on each side with valve open is the main problem in making these cars sound good.
