I would want one with close ratios 6-speed manual with top speed between 160 and 180 mph.
I think it’s unlikely we will see one from Porsche. Hoping for a 718 R as a internal combustion engine Cayman send off.
If Porsche doesn’t make one, I would want 2 GT4RS. One PDK and one converted to manual (assuming I can get 2 )

Are you saying you can do it? Also, how much? The main reason I'm not trying to get a GT4 RS is no manual. I'm thinking about trading my GT4 for a GT3 for more power, shorter gearing, and staying with a manual. Though, I love my GT4 and looking to get a tune and muffler, already have headers and mid pipe.
BTW BGB, I'm in Florida now! Only a few hours drive away, I need to stop by one weekend.

I’d definitely be interested if it came with a manual! The gossip about a Spyder RS is also intriguing, but people are hinting towards a Bergspyder like concept which is not very appealing.

BOOM! I'm spray painting a parking stall for you now in the driveway!

Obviously they would know and everything i say is simply conjecture BUT....we know a few things. 1.) the single biggest push for the RS road car in addition to the buyer demand is to create a homologated race car for our GT4 class. Porsche will not EVER make a track only car with a manual so we know it will be PDK. So for rules reasons we need a Cayman with PDK and a GT3 motor. 2.) we know that the RS usually gets the PDK because it's the flagship track car and they don't want humans bobbling shifts and zinging motors. It's as much about lap time as it is about removing the driver from being able to blow the thing up.
I have a hard time believing that it can't handle the power BUT the RPM could be something as that gearbox is not meant to rev that high. In addition, the gear wheel fluid and the transmission fluid is cooled by the pump driven off the gearbox and it might not be able to keep up with cooling demans if it's turning 9K RPM. So the gearbox might be up to it but the cooler may not? Who knows. I was one of the biggest supporters of the manual box that went into the GT4 and then the whole 3rd gear thing went down so i should probably shut up. I could be wrong...someone just dug up a thread from 2013 quoting me that this car would never be built. i would be amazed though if they A.) ever offered it with a manual B.) made a Spyder variant.
